FAQs
Questions we are asked most often
Straight answers about how we operate, what we can and cannot tell you, and what to verify with a provider before you enroll.
Are you an internet or TV provider?
No. ByteSync Technologies LLC is an independent authorized retailer. We do not own or operate any network, we do not set pricing or contract terms, and we are not the official website of any provider. We help you compare what is available at your address and, if you choose, assist with enrolling directly with the provider you select.
Does it cost anything to compare options with you?
No. We do not charge consumers a fee for comparison assistance or for help with enrollment. If you enroll in a service, you pay the provider under the provider's own terms.
Why can't you quote me an exact monthly price on this website?
Because pricing is set by each provider, varies by service address and market, and changes over time. Any figure published here would be out of date or inaccurate for a large share of visitors. We would rather tell you which providers serve your address and what to confirm with them than publish a number that turns out not to apply to you.
Why does availability depend on my exact address?
Networks are built street by street. Fiber deployment stops at defined boundaries, cable plant follows historic service areas, and copper DSL performance depends on distance from the serving equipment. Two homes on the same block can therefore qualify for different technologies and different speed tiers.
What is the practical difference between fiber and cable?
Fiber typically offers upload speeds similar to its download speeds. Cable typically offers high download speeds with substantially lower uploads. If your household spends a lot of time on video calls, uploading files, or backing up to the cloud, that upload difference is usually more noticeable day to day than the download figure.
Will my speeds match what the plan advertises?
Provider speed figures describe the connection delivered to the modem under normal conditions. Actual performance on a device also depends on your router, its placement, wall construction, device age and local network conditions. Testing on a wired connection at the modem is the fastest way to separate a plan issue from a WiFi issue.
Do I have to sign a contract?
That depends entirely on the provider and the plan. Some offer no-term options, some tie promotional pricing to a term agreement with an early termination fee. This is one of the specific items we recommend confirming in writing before you enroll.
Is bundling always cheaper?
Not always. A bundle usually costs less than the same services purchased separately, but only if you actually want every service included. Bundles also link services contractually, so removing one later can change the price of the others.
What happens to my service when I move?
Service does not automatically transfer. Your provider may not serve the new address, and where it does, the available technology and tiers may differ. Confirm serviceability at the new address before you disconnect the old one, and check whether an existing term agreement carries a fee.
How do you handle my personal information?
We collect only what is needed to help with your enquiry and to assist with enrollment if you request it. We do not sell personal information. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
Are calls recorded?
Calls to our published number may be recorded or monitored for quality and training purposes. You will be informed at the start of the call.
Why do you show brand names like AT&T, Spectrum and Xfinity?
Those names are used for identification and comparison only, so you can find information about the providers serving your area. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
