In several markets the residential fiber product is now marketed under the Quantum Fiber brand, which is a frequent source of confusion when comparing plans online.
On the DSL side, actual attainable speed depends heavily on the physical distance from the serving equipment, so two homes in the same neighborhood can qualify for noticeably different tiers. On the fiber side, plans are typically symmetrical and offered with a simplified, non-tiered pricing structure in many markets.
